Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband (DLV)
The DLV (English: German Athletics Federation) is the umbrella organisation of all the regional athletic associations in Germany. Founded in 1898, the DLV is affiliated to World Athletics, European Athletics and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).
In 2019 the DLV had 7,753 affiliated clubs and 815,627 licensed athletes.

The role of the DLV includes planning national and international championships, support of top athletes and young people in the sport, delivery of appropriate programmes and the fight against doping at the national and international levels. The German Athletics Marketing (DLM) provides marketing and promotion services on behalf of the DLV.
In the I RUN CLEAN project, the DLV will be responsible for national-level activities in Germany including recruitment of ambassadors, staging workshops and communications. It will also co-lead the Ambassador Activities work package, which includes design of the workshops and preparation of the first teams of ambassadors.
