UNIROMA1 (English: Sapienza University of Rome) has over 700 years of history and is currently the largest university in Europe with 112,000 students, 4,000 teachers, 2,000 employed technicians and librarians, and 2,000 administrative staff in university hospitals.

The UNIROMA1 Faculty of Medicine and Psychology includes the Department of Psychology, which is characterised by an international approach excellence in its research activity including the psychology of emotions and motivations. The Dean of the Department, Prof Fabio Lucidi, has long-term experience in research on doping and doping prevention, has published 16 scientific papers concerning doping in recreational sport and has been involved in a number of funded research projects in this area.
In the I RUN CLEAN project, the UNIROMA1 Department of Psychology will co-lead the Impact Testing work package, which includes development of the research plan, data collection and data analysis.
